Probable Topics to be covered

• Introduction to DWSIM
• Simulating a Material Stream: Through this topic, participants will be introduced to different ways of specifying a material stream and how to view its results.
• Simulation of Exchangers: This topic will cover the concept of simulating heater, cooler and heat exchangers.
• Simulation of Pressure Changers: This topic will focus on how to simulate pumps, com- pressors, expanders, etc.
• Simulation of Reactors: This topic will cover concepts on how to create or specify different types of reactions like kinetic reaction, equilibrium reaction and conversion reaction and then use the reactions to simulate different reactors.
• Simulation of Separation Columns: This topic will cover concepts on how to simulate a column to find out the refux ratio, no of trays, feed tray location using Fenske-Gilliland- Underwood(FUG) equation, applying these results to perform rigorous calculations on distillation column. This topic will also cover how to simulate a flash vessel (gas-liquid separator)
