ANSYS SOFTWARE INSTALLATION:

Practical knowledge is a way better than the theoretical knowledge alone and also it makes the pursuing course more interesting and brings more enthusiasm, so we expect all the students pursuing this course to install the software.

Here are the steps for the same:
Go to this link > Ansys student(click here) > Download Ansys student 2022 R1 > Installation steps.
Next you can follow the installation steps shown.

IIT MADRAS students can also follow the below procedure
Go to this link > login with the LDAP credentials > click on right panel's "commercial software" link
Ansys software and other softwares and instruction manuals are present, you can follow those steps.

Cost of this workshop is ₹450

M Maruthi Prasanna :
An enthusiastic and an incisive individual inquisitive to learn various technical concepts. He had pursued his Bachelor of Technology from JNTUA College of engineering and M-tech from NIT Calicut. His M-Tech project which was based on CFD(computational fluid dynamics) helped him apply these concepts of CFD in his PhD project. He has a keen interest in exploring various aspects of Ansys which nudged him to complete various online certification courses so as to hone his skills. His vociferous disposition towards mastering Ansys made him indulge in various related projects.
He is currently working under professor Dr. Sreenivas Jayanti. Maruthi has garnered good amount of knowledge on flow in porous medium and had even performed simulations in fuel cells. These acted as an impetus to his learning process and is now currently working on Vanadium redox flow batteries. He has been effectively and efficiently investing his time in learning open foam- an alternative to Ansys.
