ABOUT:

MATLAB combines a desktop environment tuned for iterative analysis and design processes with a programming language that expresses matrix and array mathematics directly.

Content:
Introduction to MATLAB, Fundamentals in MATLAB: Variables, Arrays, Simple mathematical operations, extracting sub matrix from a big matrix, matrix operation, line plots, 2d plots, subplots and additional plotting features, loops, control statement-based problems, function creation, solving linear and non-linear equations, solving ODEs using ode solvers. Note: If time permits, additional topics: linear regression and non-linear regressions will be covered.

INSTRUCTIONS TO DOWNLOAD MATLAB:

Vamsi Vikram Gande
Vamsi Vikram Gande completed his undergraduate studies (B.Tech) in Chemical Engineering from Osmania University, Hyderabad. He is currently in the integrated M.Tech and PhD program in the Department of Chemical Engineering, IIT Madras under the supervision of Prof S Pushpavanam. Vamsi is a curiosity driven researcher with experience in kinetic modelling, thermodynamic modelling, optimization, nanoparticles synthesis, hydrometallurgy, and multiphase flows. His PhD focus is on developing a sustainable zero-discharge process for recovering metals from e-waste. Fundamental studies were performed in this domain and proof of concept has been established in lab scale. The successful completion of the lab scale project has garnered a funding from Department of Science and Technology ( DST) and Bharath Heavy Electricals Limited (BHEL), for setting up a pilot plant scale-up (100 kg per batch) facility at BHEL Trichy.
